Keto Vegetarian Turmeric Cake Recipe: The Magic of Golden Health
Sublime Sfouf: A Modern Twist on Tradition with Our Keto Vegetarian Turmeric Cake
Today, I'm thrilled to share with you a recipe that holds a special place in my heart – the Keto Vegetarian Turmeric Cake. But before we dive into the delightful world of golden indulgence, let me tell you a little bit about its origin. This cake draws its inspiration from "sfouf," a traditional Lebanese dessert that's been passed down through generations. Sfouf is beloved for its rich flavor, moist texture, and vibrant yellow hue, all thanks to the magical ingredient – turmeric. As someone deeply connected to my Lebanese roots, I've taken the essence of sfouf and given it a keto-friendly twist, making it suitable for those following anti-inflammatory and keto diets, as well as individuals managing type 2 diabetes. So, join me on this culinary journey as we honor tradition, celebrate health, and indulge in the golden goodness of our Keto Vegetarian Turmeric Cake!Keto Vegetarian Turmeric Cake Recipe
Ingredients
Sublime Sfouf: A Modern Twist on Tradition with Our Keto Vegetarian Turmeric Cake
1 tsp Anise
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 1/4 cups almond milk
Pinch of salt
1 tsp vinegar
Preparation
1 tsp Anise
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 1/4 cups almond milk
Pinch of salt
1 tsp vinegar
Preparation
Let’s Get Started: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F), and prepare your cake pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
Mix It Up: In a big bowl, combine the coconut flour, almond flour, stevia, coconut butter, Anise, turmeric, baking soda, baking powder, and psyllium husk. Mix everything well until it’s all nicely blended.
Add the Good Stuff: Slowly pour in the almond milk while stirring continuously to create a smooth batter. Once combined, add the vinegar and give it a good mix.
Into the Oven: Pour the batter into your prepared pan, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top to add a little crunch and visual appeal. Pop it into the oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool Down and Enjoy: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice it up and get ready to indulge in some golden goodness!
